Summoning Circle - An Elden Ring Multiplayer Community

As an Elden Ring fanatic (yes, I got the platinum trophy…), I saw a gap in the “market” for the game’s multiplayer system. Typically you mark your summoning sign in the world and hope someone finds and wants your service, or when you need the help of another player, you simply have to hope to find a sign where you’re at. While this system is highly diegetic and blends into the game’s world and lore effectively, it leaves some gaps for keen fans, and can become outright difficult as “Soulslike” games age.

Summoning Circle offers a home for players seeking that multiplayer connection, where they see and be seen out in the open. Players can socialize in a message-board system offering to summon or be summoned into each other’s games, both shoring up Elden Ring’s built in systems and creating a social space for gamers to casually connect, share tips and expertise, and showing off their spoils with the site’s built-in cosmetics system.

Summoning Circle is a student project with a focus on Responsive Web Design that scales effectively from web to mobile. It takes a Subtractive approach, offering a plethora of options to web users, and carefully removing and segmenting elements as the scale transitions to smaller mobile devices.
